A little bit about our board members:

"I am a stay at-home mother with 3 children, 4, 3, and a new born.  I moved to Warren county last year and I didn't know anyone. My husband worked with a guy whose wife belonged to the Stewartsville Moms Club and Sandi connected me To Tara, Membership VP of the Lopatcong Moms Club. I was so grateful to be meeting people not just for me, but for my children also. I spread the word to everyone I met about the club and many of my neighbors began to join. When I heard that Kim was moving I asked if I could join the board, considering that I was attending every club event. I even won a contest for attending the most events. I was then interested in becoming the President. I was very pregnant at the time so I thought that Michelle and I could do it together, she being very pregnant also along with others looking to have positions on the board. We did share the position of Administration VP. So far all is going well and we are looking forward  to meeting many new people and inspiring the mothers of our chapter." ~Russa/President MOMS Club of the Lopatcong Area.
"I moved to Warren County in July 2000 and didn't know anyone in the area.  After giving birth to my son, in January 2002, I started looking into joining a moms group of some type.  A friend of mine, who belongs to a chapter of MOMS Club in a different area, suggested that I look into the MOMS Club in my area.  I logged onto momsclub.org and e-mailed my nearest chapter.  I was pleased to be told that a brand new chapter had recently been formed.  I attended a business meeting and I immediately knew that I wanted to become part of the group.  Shortly after joining I became the Meals for Moms coordinator, during 2004-05 I was the Administrative Vice President.  During 2005-06 I will be the playgroup coordinator and I also update this website.   My son completely enjoys the activities and outings that we attend.  He especially loves the park days.  I just recently (April 2004) gave birth to a little girl, and I'm sure she will enjoy the club just as much as my son and I do.  The MOMS Club has really made the transition to moving to a new area very easy for me.  I have met many wonderful, friendly women through the club and I look forward to meeting new people in the future.   ~Dawn/Former Administrative Vice President/MOMS Club of the Lopatcong area.

"My family and I moved to Lopatcong over 3 years ago as we looked for a community that we believed would be a great place for our children to grow up.  We succeeded.  I am a stay at home mother of a 2-year-old boy.  Although we are lucky in that our neighbors have become very close friends, the ages of the children vary greatly.  I joined the MOMS Club of the Lopatcong area, initially, to help find other children my sons age so that he can form friendships with other children his own age.  In doing so, I have also begun to make new friendships of my own.  The women who are a part of the MOMS Club have been so supportive, and have given me wonderful activities to do with my son along with his and my new friends, that I would never have known or thought of to do on my own.  Additionally, being a not for profit organization, the MOMS Club performs service and charitable projects through out the year.  Empathy and doing good are important values that I want to teach my son; the MOMS Club helps us do that.

Knowing the importance of a group effort, when it was time for new board positions, I decided to be part of it so that I can also add input to the success of the club.  It is a wonderful way to meet new people whose goals are the same as yours. Providing a great environment for our children through play, activities, and interaction, as well as to provide the mom's an outlet with others who understand what it takes.  I am so grateful I found the flyer to join the MOMS Club of the Lopatcong area." ~Geri/ Former Secretary/MOMS Club of the Lopatcong Area
"I'm a stay-at-home mom with boy/girl 4 year old twins.  I had experienced my first year after a move with toddlers, and finally felt more adjusted to the new area.  A new neighbor invited me to join the club, and I especially liked the fun my children had at the children's activities.  Since I've joined, my children have made some good friends and enjoy the activities; they think it's their club.  Stay-at-home moms can use encouragement, since often, it's a tough choice to leave the workforce for any period of time.  The MOMS Club is a great way for new moms to connect with other new moms; for children to meet other children their age; and for recently transplanted moms to get to know the area.  The club is a wonderful way for stay-at-home moms to stay connected." ~Cathy/Former Treasurer/MOMS Club of the Lopatcong area
